Crooked Nose
There are many causes for a crooked nose. The most common is a problem with the septum which is the partition between the two airways in the middle of the nose. But there are other problems of crookedness such as the nasal bones deviated off to one side or the nasal tip having an asymmetric shape or a deviation off the midline. Crookedness can be inherited or due to prior trauma or older techniques in surgery. There are a variety of sophisticated surgical techniques for addressing crookedness and these involve actually straightening the crooked aspect or part of the nose or sometimes hiding the crookedness. Almost always the septum is made more straight. Sometimes correcting crookedness improves breathing.
