Narrow Tip

At times the tip may appear too narrow. Either it is truly narrow or relatively narrow compared to the rest of the nose or face. There are grafting techniques to hold the tip into a predictable width. Sometimes this improves the function of the nose by reinforcing the breathing passages.  In these cases the over-narrow appearance may be due to weak collapsing cartilages. Sometimes an overly narrow nasal tip is due to prior surgery using older techniques. Fortunately cartilage that was excessively removed or damaged can be reconstructed and replaced.
